A delegation from our school participated in the Debate League organised by the Colegio Capellán Pascal, in the Advanced category, where they disputed two debates and won both matches.
In the first debate, the team had to defend the position against banning hate speech as a measure to protect coexistence in democratic contexts, facing Colegio Seminario San Rafael.
In the second debate, they defended the motion on how the widespread use of social media has contributed significantly to the improvement of communication and access to information, competing against Colegio Capellán Pascal. It is worth mentioning that as this is a league, there are still debates to be played in the upcoming matches.
Special congratulations to the students Camila Aguancha, Victoria Valenzuela, María Jesús Gómez, Leonor Pavez, Alice Mac Gregor, Marianne Gougain for their dedication and excellent performance, and to Miss Carolina Gómez, who guides and accompanies them in all the matches.
We will continue to support and accompany our students in this type of experiences that encourage critical thinking, argumentation and active participation.
