Application Process Infant, Junior, Middle and Senior Admissions

First period:

April to June according to availability of vacancies.

Infant: Playgroup, Pre-kinder y Kinder

To participate in the application process for Playgroup, Pre Kinder and Kinder, parents must complete the application form and send the following documents of the applicant by email to Paulina Moreno (pmoreno@stmargarets.cl), Head of Admissions:

  1. Application Form (must be signed by the parent).
  2. Photocopy of Birth Certificate.
  3. Photocopy of ID on both sides, if they have one.
  4. Report from Kindergarten, if attending.

Playgroup

After receiving the documents, parents will be contacted by the Head of Admissions, who will indicate the date and time of the Fun Morning, an activity that consists of a group observation (6 applicants) lasting 30 minutes. While the applicants are in this observation, parents will be with the Head of Infant and the Head of Admissions. Once this is over, the parents leave with their daughters.

After the Fun Morning, parents of accepted students will be invited to an online interview. The corresponding connection link will be sent.

Playgroup Entry Behaviour

Pre Kinder – Kinder

Once the documentation has been submitted, the applicant will be called for a diagnostic test to observe the linguistic, mathematical and psychomotor competences for the level she is applying for. The score considered as an acceptable level of achievement is 80%.

After the diagnosis, parents will be invited to an online interview with the Infant Head and Infant Psychologist. The corresponding connection link will be sent.

Delivery of results: The deadline for delivery of results is 10 working days and is done by email with an attached letter, which informs details of the observation. If accepted, parents must return a signed letter acknowledging receipt.

Parents will then have 5 working days to complete the enrolment process.

Entry Behaviour Pre Kinder and  Kinder 

Junior: 1st Grade to 4th Grade

  1. Application Form (must be signed by the parent)
  2. Photocopy of Birth Certificate
  3. Photocopy of ID on both sides.
  4. Annual School Certificate from previous years.
  5. Partial report of grades 2025
  6. Personality Report

Once all the documentation has been received, the applicant will be invited to a diagnosis from the cognitive to the affective-social level, which is carried out by an interdisciplinary team (teacher, psychologist and special needs teacher).

After the diagnosis, parents will be  invited to a face-to-face interview with the Head of Junior and Junior Psychologist.

Delivery of results: The deadline for delivery of results is 10 working days and is done by email with an attached letter, which informs the details of the observation. If accepted, parents must return the signed letter acknowledging receipt.

They will then have 10 working days to complete the enrolment process.

The percentage of achievement considered as acceptable from 1st to 4th grade: 85%.

Middle & Senior School

5th Grade y 6th Grade

7th Grade and 8th Grade

There are no vacancies available for these grades, however, please contact the Head of Admissions, Paulina Moreno (pmoreno@stmargarets.cl), in case there are any updates.

 

Admissions 1st to 4th senior

No vacancies for these grades.

 

Students from abroad

Validation or Recognition of Studies

Students coming from abroad should opt for one of these options:

  1. Recognition of Studies

The documents of the last year completed and approved abroad, plus the concentration of grades, must be duly apostilled by the local authorities of the country of origin.

Once in Chile, these documents must be presented to the Mineduc (Ministry of Education), who will recognise the previous year.

  1. Validation of Studies

The student must validate her studies by means of exams in the different subjects corresponding to the last level she completed. While the Validation of Studies is being carried out, the student will have a Provisional Enrolment and once this process has been completed, the student will be enrolled in the course assigned to her.

 

Incorporation Fee

From Pre Kinder, a incorporation fee must be paid, which will be valid for all years of study.

Students who rejoin the school after Pre Kinder will not have to pay the joining fee again.

Registration Fee

Each year, parents must pay one registration fee per student.

Participation in the application process does not guarantee a place in the school.

Former students mothers will be given priority, in case there is a waiting list.

Junior School

Applications will not be accepted if the applicant does not meet the required age.

Admission exam value: 1UF (Pre-Kinder, Kinder, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade and 4th Grade).

STUDENTS FROM ABROAD

The students coming from abroad must bring the documents duly apostilled by the local authorities of the country of origin.

Once in Chile, the parent must present them to the Ministry of Education.

INCORPORATION FEE

From Pre-Kinder, an incorporation fee of UF 40 must be paid.

This fee will be valid for all years of study.

The students who reinstate school will not have to pay the fee again.

ENROLLMENT

Every year, parents must pay a registration fee of UF 10,5 per student. 

Participation in the application process does not guarantee an admission place.
